cooler temperatures, sal? 880 is moving along nicely in front of the coliseum and also the morning drive looks good on westbound 287 let's go back to the desk. breaking news in from daily city, we have late information on a stabbing at a popular bay area bowling alley, tara moriarty, what do you know? >> reporter: it is a popular bowling alley off 280 and you can see the police are right behind the alley here. they have cordoned off the area and i'm not sure what they were looking for blood perhaps a weapon and police have not given us any official word on this but a stabbing was reported here this morning and four victims were brought into the hospital by ambulance.

they arrived at ceton hospital, not sure how they got there if they drove themselves but witnesses say their wounds seem to be very serious. it closes at 1:00 a.m. and it does have a bar inside and police were not here until 3:00 a.m. you can see just how close ceton medical center is and it is all lit up and there are surveillance cameras mounted outside and perhaps they can provide clues. we will let you know about any new developments. live in daily city tara moriarty ktvu channel 2 news. police are investigating three separate shootings from overnight. it happened just minutes apart in east oakland and kraig debro is at police headquarters with what he is learning from

detectives, craig? >> reporter: i just talked to the corners bureau and they just received the body and the oakland police tell me it is way too early in the investigation and they still need to work on i.d.ing the victim. the shooting happened at the vallejo recreation center and i asked the detective if it was gang related and he said it was too early to determine this. a shooting the attack tow truck, shoots fired at 38 avenue and foothills. one person was taken to hyland hospital and the victim's condition identity is unknown.

this after midnight several rounds of ammunition fired outside a licker store. it is located on foot hill and it is unknown if it was a final act of a robbery or perhaps it was not connected to the business. we got the name of the toco truck owner as well as the owner of the liquor store to see if they know what happened. ktvu channel 2 news kraig debro. candle stick park following the wild violence during the raiders game which team officials call degenerate behavior. new security rules including banning fails from tail dating in the parking lot during or after the game. they will revote tickets of anybody who causes trouble at the games.

gathered at the civic station to protest the shooting and to protest the shut down of cell phone service at bart and it went from the station to the streets tying up traffic during the evening commute. >> i think people are waking up seeing the police are out of control. i am all for law enforcement but it is where we draw the line. >> they are stupid they don't have a job, get a job. >> police estimate they took into custody a few dozen demonstrators inside a bart station but a ktvu channel 2 news camera also captured 50 people near the un plaza and this is the third major protest in six weeks. we are now hearing

you can see fog filtering into the bay area but it is going to be patchy. so patchy fog around the area and plenty of sunshine for the afternoon high pressure is strengthen over our area and that's what has led to dense patchy fog. for the coast widespread 60s even some 70s around the bay area and 70s and 80s inland. it is going to be a hot one and we are expecting low-to-mid 90s as well. upper 50s livermore as well as san jose so if you are waking up, chances are it is cooler today. we have 90 degrees expected in napa, 90s in vallejo mid-90s antioch, fremont checking in '84 degrees, 88 for san jose 95

and as we look at the west bound bay bridge. small delays at the toll plaza and 880 traffic looks pretty good as you drive into downtown oakland area. if you are driving into san francisco or on 280 it is a nice drive up the peninsular trying to get into downtown san francisco. at 5:17 let's go to rosemary. take it easy reports of dense fog around the area and your forecast for the coast starting out in the 50s and 60s to near 75 degrees in some cases so a nice warmup. looking at 75 around the bay mostly sunny skies to mid-80s around the bay even upper 80s right around san jose.

it will get hot even dodging outdoors in the afternoon. mostly clear skies with temperatures sitting in the low- to-mid to upper 50s and upper 80s to mid-90s. your forecast highs. 90 for sonoma. 76 in berkeley 76 for oakland and we are warm 93 livermore, 90s in pittsburgh. 88 san jose, 95 morgan hill. 90 saratoga. 83 in san mateo 83 in san francisco. mid-60s expected this afternoon and partly cloudy park -- partly cloudy skies this afternoon. we will cool it back in time for wednesday and temperatures

slip back inland areas. widespread 60s for the coast line and in time for the weekend a little cooler. mid- s expected for our valley location and 60s along the coast. the big winner, south korea finished a quarter% and they are hoping for new action by the federal reserve to keep the u.s. from slipping back into a recession. that will happen later in the week as ben bernanke heads into a meeting on friday. dow jones industrial average up 10084 and look for more of the same, not a lot of economic news coming out before that.

been put in thefts have gone down. he is accused of molesting several male patients and they ruled that airs who suffers from memory loss cannot use it as a defense. to determine where he will be permanently housed is set for september 7thth. a suspected serial killer, told him he didn't see any reason to delay the hearing. he is accused of killing four northern california women and in the '70s and 90s, he wanted the hearing postponed to give him more time to consult with a legal advisers. people on the corner of 7th and mark kit say it is a place where they receive food

it is compressing our marine layer and it has created some dense fog. dense fog until 8:00 this morning and for the coast san francisco down to monterey visibility down to a quarter mile. most of us waking up with clear skies and looking outside your door we will check it out, good morning sal. traffic looks good up to the grade san there is also traffic from antioch to pittsburgh. also northbound 101 traffic looks good from the curve area up to the split and now it is time to go back to the desk. several people are in the hospital with stab wounds. tara moriarty is where the trouble apparently started,

good morning tara. >> reporter: we are on the boulevard off interstate 280 and if you take a look behind me you can see the squad cars sitting right there parked and they have been that way since 3:00 this morning. they are trying to make sense of what happened here and they are using surveillance cameras to piece it all together. we are waiting for cameras and no official word on what they do know. we know there were serious stab wounds and they were administering payments of blood. apparently they arrived at ceton medical center but since they do not have a trauma unit they were transported by ambulance. a friend must have driven them or they drove themselves but a friend said the wounds seemed very serious. at 1:00 they do have a bar

inside but police did not receive a phone call until 3:00 a.m. so we will bring you the latest developments as they become available. reporting live tara moriarty ktvu channel 2 news. one person is dead, three others injured. three separate shootings happened minutes apart. one victim found dead just after midnight near the vallejo recreation center. it's too early to know if the shooting was gang related. bart plans to address last night's protest and it caused a mess for commuters above and below ground. allie rasmus has more on the police response. allie? >> reporter: we are at the hall of justice here and this morning san francisco police tell us they arrested

approximately 40 people during last night's demonstrations. [ let him go... ] >> reporter: most of the protesters were arrested for failing to disburse after blocking traffic. they were talking about shutting off cell phone service and were also sunset about the police shooting death of a bart man last month. police arrested five people at that station last night and most of those arrests were for upper fearing with train service. they shut down and reopened the civic station. they reopened four times all because of the protests. >> if we can't be here speaking where else are people going to listen to us that have anything

family members say they are happy about him trying to mouth words and trying to communicate. doctors have upgraded the condition of a 26-year-old man to fair. he was beaten unconscious and was found on the floor of a bathroom. another man shot several times in the stomach has been upgraded to fair and another person shot has been upgraded to serious. coming up we will have a live report with why the district attorney is now recommending dismissing charges. and lewis clark of lafayette has died at the age of 6. thousands of crosses have been played killed in iraq and afghanistan. he began putting up the crosses

in 2006 and clark has bond fighting lymphoma for more than a year. she died at her son's home in santa rosa and a memorial will be planned. they think they will solve a strength of recent burglaries and they found computers and cell phones that match the descriptions of items stolen from belmont. they connected that home after seeing those items listed on ebay for electronics. now they are trying to get them back. nobody was home at the time, neighbors reported the fire and good smart continues rescued the two family's dogs. firefighters say it appears to have started in the attic.

the cause is still under investigation. they say legislation will protect libraries. they rallied for legislation that will make it harder to privatize libraries. right now they are contracted out for library service. this bill requires cities to conduct hearings and they feel it will actually save money. >> it shows it will make life better for the people in the community. to make sure we have no major spots and the bay bridge toll plaza no major problems trying to get into san francisco. just looking at the accident list we don't have a lot going on, 580, there is a car that hit the sand barrels so you might see some activity this. again it is light and let's move along highway 237 heading over to sunny veil traffic looks good. there is a little slow traffic a road sensor showing in on highway 4 traffic looks good to walnut creek and to oakland looks fine. temperatures will be on the rise for today and this morning dense fog along the coastline we mentioned it several minutes ago and if you are just joining us visibility is down to a quarter mile along highway one.

portions will be impacted. meanwhile, it expected to heat up, above yesterday's warmup. we got to the fog but it is not as widespread in fact it was squashed quite a bit bringing on the dense fog and it is half of what we saw. expect the morning drive to peel back and leave us with mostly sunny skies for the later part of the morning. current temperatures 57 for oakland 57 in livermore 60 in san jose, mountain view checking in around 60 degrees. if you have mostly clear skies chances are you are running cooler than yesterday. upper 80s for napa. san francisco mid-to-upper 70s

and low 80s for heyward, mid- 90s for areas around concord 94 expected today 84 in fremont 88 in san jose, 84 in red wood city mid-70s in santa cruz. temperatures will fall tomorrow especially inland areas and by tomorrow a 5 to 8 degrees cool off for the valley spots along the coastline. 60s are back in the forecast. a little bit of a warmup and low 670s for the -- low 60s for the coastline and mid-80s for inland areas. a man living in sierra foothills is seeing lots of animals over the years but recent visitors were a first for him. he heard noise on his roof so he checked it out. when he got outside he didn't see anything until he saw the large figure of a bear.

. good morning to you waking up with a dense fog advisory along the coastline and temperatures are warming up this afternoon. welcome back good morning to you. here is a quick look at some of the top stories we are filing for you, reports of a stabbing at a daily city bowling alley. four people were rushed to san francisco hospital and all of this is under investigation. local police investigating three separate shootings overnight. left one person dead three others injured and so far no arrests have been made. >> >> later this evening bart plans 0 on addressing the protest. several people protesting the police shooting and it also blocked traffic a long market

street. today the charges against dominic truce conn could be dropped. else accused of sexually assault willing a hotel dark he is accused of sexually assaulting a hotel maid in new york. >> reporter: this is really a dramatic development in this case and in fact three hours from now there is a court hearing scheduled in new york city and it comes after two prosecutors recommended dropping these charges and here is why. prosecutors say d dna testing indicated there was a sexual encounter between the two but pointed out all the evidence of lack of force and consent has proven inconclusive. prosecutors say she simply lied about too many things. the document here says if we do not believe her beyond a reasonable doubt we can't ask a

jury to do that and many have disagreed. >> this has denied the right of a woman to get justice in a rape case. he has not only turned his back on this victim but he has also turned his back on the forensic medical and other physical evidence in this case. >> today we are here to demand that the manhattan district attorney to allow this criminal case to move forward, that the district attorney's office stop scrutinizing and continuing to leak the case details and that

. he has added a not guilty plea. norman welsh was freed on bail after undergoing a psychiatric determination to see if he was suicidal. christopher butler also pled not guilty and if convicted the two men could get life in prison. state lawmakers are aiming at privacy rights in this high tech age. they drafted the legislation and if approved it would override a recent supreme court ruling. now the assembly unanimously voted for the protection and the bill now does to the senate. facebook has big mandatory evacuation. the proposed campus would be located about a mile and a half
